Knuckles Chaotix goes Second Life!

Second Life is an Internet-based 3D virtual world. Basically, it is a game, or world you play online through a separate program, downloaded from Second Life. Second Life is a huge world where you can explore and do basically anything you want - the limits are your own imagination. Second Life doesn't have a particular goal - it is more or less a never-ending story where you walk around and have fun whenever you want - you can't die or get Game Over or anything like it. Your player, or avatar could be basically anything, some player outfits, or avatars are for free while others are for sale.

With over two million users of Second Life, there are of course a lot of Sonic fans gathered on Second Life, and there is one area, or "sim" as they are called, which is dedicated for the entire Sonic universe, where plenty of skilled artists have created various worlds of Sonic, from the SaturdAm, Adventures of Sonic the hedgehog, but mainly from the games (see screenshots below). And it is possible to play as basically any Sonic-related character. As far as I have seen, the following Sonic-related characters are available: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Tikal, Nack, Rouge, Cream, Vanilla, Blaze, Ray, Jet, Wave, Hawk, Bark, Chaos, Metal Sonic, Silver, Heave, Bomb...and of course, Mighty, Espio, Vector and Charmy! Note however that these characters are not for free, you need to pay a little to get these as your player, but you can make money on Second Life through various ways, buy working, or by camping (check Second Life, for more details. You can also buy online currency if you have a credit card.

The Sonic-related sim is called Millais and contains various sections such as the Park, where people gather on a daily basis....

...and another section is the Mystic Ruins, built on the basis of Mystic Ruins of Sonic Adventure, with Ice Cap, Angel Island, Mystic Ruins Jungle with its pyramide. You can wander around and explore this area just like you could in Sonic Adventure.

Another place to visit would be Knothole itself from the SaturdayAm show! Or why not make a trip to Dr Robotnik's lab from the shows of "Adventures of Sonic the hedgehog"...? Just wtch your step, and don't get robotiziced...

Or visit some of the old classic zones such as Casino Night Zone or Green Hill Zone. :)

You can also check out the mall at the sim to get various Sonic-related characters.

There is more to explore, so I'm not filling out all details here, that would spoil all the fun after all. The sim is always changing, and there are plans to have the sim expanding to something larger including new areas such as the Death Egg. We will see what the future brings, but donations are in any case very appreciated, as there are costs to host the area on Second Life. If you are interested in helping out, you could always talk to the player "Ice Brodie".

So...have I caught your attention by now? If I have, go to Second Life, and download the program, and once you've gone through the tutorials, open the map and input the cordinates: (Millais, 117, 128, 21) to go to the entrance directly. Or click here, if you already have Second Life already running, to make a quick jump there directly.

There is also a member group on Second Life related to the sim called "Neo Mobius" where discussions and information is given about the sim. There are currently over 200 members, and it is growing.

Except for the Millais, you can also find a mall, Zeta Kyogen's shop at cordinates: (Radjin, 148, 26, 27), or click here to go there directly, if you have Second Life activated. Most of the avatars cost 700 Lindens-dollars, which equals about 2.50 US dollars (while the other avatars at the Millais in general are slightly cheaper).

And of course, if you want to talk to me, my username is "Mighty Yalin". If you ever connect to Second Life, feel free to send me a message, even if Im offline. I connect almost everyday, so I'll get back to you as soon as I get back online. :)

Please note that this is complely fan-made as no official relation to Sega Enterprises, whatsoever.
